Interesting piece. For me, Germany's nuclear decision has backfired on them since the war in Ukraine, but I realise that this was a decision before any signs of this war emerging.

Nonetheless, I would have kept them operating for at least 5-10 more years for more energy stability, until renewables reached the point of consistently, reliably and affordably powering the vast majority of the country's network.
