I'm no longer a nice guy to women, nor do I intend to be a bad boy.
It's more of a case of myself and other good men having zero patience for stupid games and being exploited for resources (which most men permit at some point, even briefly).
We're too old for nonsensical and superficial mind games.
We know what we want and work to improve ourselves; now it's time for women to think ahead and stop assuming the six-foot, six-figure p.a. Hollywood-esque hunk (who's probably engaged or married) will be keen to sweep you off your feet.
Lincoln's story is more common than people think. A few women will accept responsibility, but most blame their partner/fiancé/husband for not offering enough intimacy and presence.
Perhaps this is the case, but this still doesn't justify the infidelity, and it's usually cowardice and childish to argue otherwise.
The more people (men and women in general) read stories about cheating and deception, the less likely they'd be to commit to a relationship and bring children into this world.
This factor is already contributing to declining birth rates, among other things.
